If I contribute monies to the ACS, I would expect them to use it for research, of course! NOT to fund huge lobbying campaigns against smoking. HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of your contributions, along with our Tobacco Tax Dollars have been spent on lobbying for legislation to enact smoking bans across the nation. Fact is THEY HAVN’T DONE THEIR JOB in promising a cure for cancer in the last 20 years…so in order to save face and act like they’re doing something for the “public good”, they pour billions into the ban-movement and thereby get the constant media exposure they need to maintain themselves as a legitimate charitable end for monies from the public and government sources. What a scam! Not one more dollar to any of these leeches.
